Lucky night at the Sprint Center: K-State vs. Gonzaga

Last Monday night (November 22nd), K-State played Gonzaga in the CBE Classic at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. Tyler and I went, as well as my two brothers who were up from Wichita and my brother and sister-in-law who live in the KC metro.

This was the view from our seats at the very top of the arena.
Before K-State played Gonzaga, Duke played Marquette. About ten minutes left in the Duke vs. Marquette game, a text-to-win contest happened. You had to text “Sprint” to a certain number to be entered in to a chance to win a seat upgrade. Our group, as well as many other people in the arena, took part in the contest. About five minutes after everyone sent the text, Tyler received a phone call informing him that he had won the seat upgrade! Tyler and I were able to move from the nose-bleed section to the second row off of the court. We also were on the jumbo-tron for a brief time since they announced that we were the winners of the upgraded tickets.
I texted the rest of my family to inform them that they were going to show us on the jumbo-tron. They were able to snap a few photos of us while we were on the jumbo-tron.
This was the better view after we won the seat upgrade.
Attending a K-State basketball game was a new experience for both of us. It made it even better that we won the seat upgrade.

Wow! Too cool! I’ve never know anyone to actually win one of those contests. Much, much better seats :) I’m sure your brothers & sister-in-law were wishing Tyler won more than 2 seats!
